1. IHRA safety rules will be used as a guideline.
The Quick 8 Outlaw Tech Inspector at each race will
make inspections. “Examples”: Engine Diaper, Full
Face Helmet, Neck Collar or Hans Device, Gloves,
Fire Suit = (Jacket & Pants), and Shoes are required
to whatever SFI specification applies to your
car/engine combination. If safety rules are not met,
you will not race.
2. Only full body cars or trucks with working doors
are allowed.
3. No weight limit.
4. Powerglide transmissions only. No “Big Brutes”.
Reid Racing Inc powerglide/cases are permitted.
5. Any cubic inch engine allowed. Roots blowers,
Prochargers, Turbos and Electronic Fuel Injection
allowed. NO Screw Blowers. No limit on nitrous
stages.
6. Eliminations will consist of a 16-car field. If a
qualified car breaks before the first round of
eliminations an alternate will be placed in the
broken car’s slot.
Note: Once notification is given to any committee
member that a qualified car is broken, that car is
disqualified from eliminations. This notification
cannot be retracted or reversed.
7. Alternates inserted into the field after a
qualified member is disqualified will receive
show-up points and points for each round won. (No
qualifying points)
8. The Quick 8 Outlaws decal must be displayed on
the rear window of each participating entry. Decals
are supplied with membership. If you do not have
one, contact a committee member upon arrival at the
event.
9. Shakedown runs are allowed before qualifying
begins. Once qualifying starts, no further shakedown
passes are allowed.
10. One qualifying run is mandatory. Any further
qualifying runs are at the discretion of the team.
11. Qualifying runs will be made side-by-side
alternating lanes for each subsequent run. Lanes
will be assigned by race director. You will be
paired as you come to staging.you will have 3 calls
for staging . first call 5 min, second call 10 min,
third and final call 15 min. race will procede 5
minutes after third call, If your having a problem
please contact an official at let them know.(see
rule 21)
12. Eliminations will be run on a Sportsman ladder,
#1 vs. #9, #2 vs. #10, #3 vs. #11, etc. If there is
not a 16-car field, then all cars will run and the
ladder will be adjusted to accommodate the number of
cars.
13. Low qualifier of each pairing gets lane choice.
If you have lane choice, you can change that choice
only before burning out. Once you burn out, you are
obligated to the lane in which your burnout took
place.
14. Points follow the team owner, not the driver.
The team owner will pay a new membership fee if a
new driver joins the team and drivers will pay a new
membership fee if they change teams.
15. An event is considered “in the books” once the
first round of eliminations is complete. If the race
ends for any reason after the first round is
finished, the race is considered complete.
16. If a race is rained out before the completion of
the first round, it is considered a “Rain-out” and
qualifying starts over on the reschedule date.
17. If you break during qualifying and back off the
line, you will have 5 minutes to make repairs after
the last car goes down the track for a chance to
qualify in that session.
18. If you cannot crank in the staging lanes during
eliminations, you will have 2 minutes to get the car
started and come to the line.
19. You must be in staging lanes on time. If an
issue arises which affects your ability to reach the
staging lanes, find a committee member and explain
your situation. Some exceptions are necessary to
maintain the quality of the show. (Example: Someone
has your pit or car blocked).
20. Each car must have a 3-inch ride height.
21. Each driver “Must” deploy your parachute on a
complete run.
22. Drivers are permitted to drive only one car per
event.
23.Once the track official has pulled you out of the
staging lanes, any decision made pertaining to the
run is soley governed by the starter(track
official). Quick8Outlaw Official(s) responsibility
is to direct you to the staging lanes and make sure
you are paired and ready to race.
• If you burn out and your car shuts off, you have
30 seconds to restart. NO support equipment allowed
beyond the water box.
• No one makes a run when there is a stalled car on
the track.
24.Absolutely NO Nitromethane allowed. All Blowers
no multiple power adders.

Low Qualifier $300
$300 will go to points fund at each race.
Incase there are not enough cars to make a 16 car
field, Moneys not paid will go into the points fund.
